The opportunity

A useful win-back audience needs more than an inactivity filter. Purchase frequency and customer value establish who fits the commercial goal, while recent orders, suppressions, bounces, and channel consent determine who is currently eligible.

BizSidekick combines Shopify order history with Klaviyo profile state, shows each exclusion, and prepares a dynamic segment. The Task ends with sending disabled; it does not create campaign content or contact a customer.

Define eligibility before counting profiles

The example uses four audience rules:

RulePurpose
At least two paid ordersFocuses the audience on repeat customers
Customer value above $200Applies the merchant's value threshold
No paid order in the last 90 daysRemoves active recent buyers
At least one paid order in the last 180 daysBounds the inactivity window

Klaviyo consent and suppression checks remain separate by channel. Email eligibility does not imply SMS eligibility, and neither should be overwritten to increase the segment count.

What remains outside this Task

Creating an audience is not the same as creating or sending a campaign. Offer design, content, frequency, channel choice, and send approval require a separate review. The segment can also change as profiles order, unsubscribe, bounce, or move outside the inactivity window.

How it works

  1. Calculate customer value — Build recency, frequency, and monetary measures from paid Shopify orders using the agreed window.
  2. Apply inactivity rules — Keep only profiles whose last paid order falls inside the requested range.
  3. Check channel eligibility — Remove recent buyers, unsubscribed, suppressed, and bounced profiles without changing consent.
  4. Review the segment definition — Show every inclusion and exclusion before creating the dynamic Klaviyo segment.
  5. Verify the destination state — Read back the segment name, rules, current profile count, and the absence of a campaign or flow.

Safety boundary

The interaction uses illustrative profiles and a mock Klaviyo account. The demo does not send a message. A real segment creation requires an authorized connection and confirmation, and any later campaign must be reviewed separately.

Expected outcome

A dynamic win-back segment with sending disabled
